It has been a month since we moved down to West Plains, MO. We arrived on April 19th, 2013. Our first change to our property was to get a house number. We now have a mailbox up and running. The next item to accomplish was putting in a culvert and smoothing out the driveway. The photo on the left there is a bump to get up into our property. On the right is what it looks like now after the county put in the culvert for us. We had to purchase the pipe and the county was nice to bring it out to our property lay down the pipe and cover it and smooth it out. The bulldozer was the next stage in our development. It took 5 hours to clear the land needed for our home. The fence issue. April of 2012 is when we purchased our property. The Seller wanted to have a fence put in because of his horses. We were kind enough to pay for half of the fence. The fencing company was in a hurry to put in the fence last year. This was because of the hot weather. They wanted to get it in before the ground got too hard to work. Since the ground is at least 80% clay it will get really hard with no rain. They did not notify us when this was going to happen. We told them that we could not possibly get there until July. They put the fence in June of last year. In July is when we went down to visit our property and see the fence that they put in. Then there became the issue. We discovered that the fence was put in the wrong spot. Now that we are living down here we have had to deal with this issue. Through our investigations we found out that the sellers realtor was responsible for telling where the bulldozer was to doze and the fence was to be placed. Because of our persistence the fence has now been taken down. And will get put up at the realtors expense. The white rope is where the fence line is suppose to be and where the truck is is where it was. It is 165 feet short. The photo below is the fencing company taking down the fence. This is a great victory for us. With Allen's persistence we have won a battle that we thought would put us months behind. The campground that we are staying at does not have internet that works. We have to travel to a place that has free internet. This means that we will not be able to update this website as often as we had hoped. Please be patient as when we get the time to travel to internet we will update the Severin Family EarthShip build.
