As you can see some big changes have taken place. We had the bulldozer take off the top of our hill. We are down approximately 5 and a half feet. This is very close to being level . We will have to finish leveling once we layout the EarthShip. The bottom photo is where the garage for our vehicles will go and the one above that is where the house will go. The mountain of dirt is where the bulldozer put most of the dirt. The top layer he put in a different location. The mountain is called Mt. Severin by the neighbors.
As you can see we have all had training with the tractor. It has become a necessity at Severin EarthShip. Getting used all the time. We thought that this would help to save our backs and not have to use the wheel borrow as often. Other pieces of equipment that we have purchased are a plate compactor, a gas generator ( for running Allens power tools)
( we are having technical difficulties with our keyboard), and a CTS, Berger ( this is a laser level.) The laser level is to help to make sure that the land is level. It is difficult here with the hills to determine if the area is level or not. When we were getting the land ready for the pole barn we thought we had it level. We were up to 10 inches off on one side. Even using a line level we were way off. We dont want to be off for our home.
